Aviara was born from the belief that fashion should feel like belonging, not pressure.
For years, we watched women walk into stores and walk right back out because nothing felt made for them. The sizing was inconsistent. The styles didn’t reflect real bodies or real days. And the shopping experience felt more like a chore than a joy.
So, we decided to build a brand built for women who want ease, confidence, and pieces that work in the real world: school drop‑offs, office days, date nights, errands, vacations, and everything in between.
It’s warm, timeless, wearable, and thoughtfully curated.
🌿 Where the Name “Aviara” Comes From
Names matter. They carry energy, intention, and identity.
Our name, Aviara, said softly as Ah-vee-r-uh, carries meaning and memory. It takes flight from the Latin word avis, meaning “bird.”
It felt fitting for so many reasons: we’ve always loved to travel, Kim’s father was a pilot, and both of our grandmothers’ adored hummingbirds.
The next letters, AR, honor Leann’s grandmother, Arlene, and the final A stands for Abuelita, a tribute to Kim’s grandmothers. Together, these women, whose love, creativity, and resilience shaped who we are, have also inspired the heart of Aviara.
Aviara represents movement, heritage, and connection, a name that carries our story wherever it goes.
